At SHUMOKU GALLERY, we are pleased to present a solo exhibition by Shota Hanaki (b. 1988).

Hanaki creates works inspired by architectural elements and parts of landscapes, focusing on subtle variations in brushstrokes and color planes. His compositions simplify the balance of objects, materials, colors, and shapes, demonstrating a strong artistic will that carries on the legacy of modern art since Russian Constructivism. While his works maintain a serene presence, they also convey a fresh, pop-like clarity, reflecting a contemporary sensibility.

This exhibition features approximately 20 new works on various supports, including canvas, wood, and aluminum.

We warmly invite you to enjoy this collection.
